With the announcement of all Apple’s new devices a couple of months ago, I still hear people asking me what the difference between the different variations of phones are, and what phone would best fit their need.
So let’s start by taking a look at all of the different options Apple has released this year:
iPhone XS
The iPhone XS is the flagship phone that Apple has announced this year. With a 5.8- inch Super Retina HDR screen, is waterproof up to two meters, dual 12 megapixel cameras that offer 2x optical zoom and several other new features. Currently they are selling them with 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB. Colorwise you have a choice between silver, gold and space gray.
iPhone XR
The iPhone XR is more of a budget phone, to make it a little more affordable they made a few changes. It offers a 6.1-inch diagonal LCD screen, which is slightly larger than the iPhone XS; but as they do not offer HD screen nor as many pixels, the quality of the screen will be worse than an XS would be. It also only offers waterproof up to one meter, rather then 2. The XR only offers one 12 megapixel camera, rather than the dual feature the XS has. They do offer slightly longer battery life, come in a larger variety of colours, (white, black, blue, yellow, coral and red) and are cheaper for both the 64GB and 256GB that are offered.
iPhone XS Max
This is the largest of the new iPhones Apple ever produced, and the most expensive of these three. It offers a 6.5-inch OLED HDR screen. It also offers the same dual camera that the XS off and water resistance up to two meters. The XS Max is available in stainless steel silver, gold and space gray, and offers a 64GB, 256GB, and a 512GB.
Now that you have a better idea of the advantages and disadvantages of each iPhone, you can make an informed decision on what one best suits your needs.
