One that I have used in the past is an app called Sleep Cycle. It is an app that tracks your sleep pattern through your phone’s microphone. As it is a free app this is a great way to get started with measuring your sleep quality. However, it is not a perfect system and the app may not always be perfectly accurate.
Other options include fitness trackers such as “Fitbits” or smart watches. Many of these offer features that will track your sleep schedule and show you how well you slept. These may be more accurate than using a mobile app but can often show more accurate results.
Nobody likes waking up. Especially after spending an extended period just trying to fall asleep. However, changing how you wake up may make it easier to wake up and stay awake. One popular method of avoiding the harsh beeping of a regular alarm clock is called a light alarm.
A light alarm works by broadcasting a light at a set period of time before you are meant to wake up. This light will then get brighter and more intense until you wake up and turn it off. If the light doesn’t wake you then most light alarms will also offer a sound alarm to ensure you are awake. I haven’t actually tried this device yet but after researching it for this article I immediately purchased one for myself. I hope to update this part of the article after receiving my order and testing it out for a few days.
