Even though it may not always be their primary use now a days, the reason phones were invented was to help us communicate with one another.
Of course while a phone is still used for communication today, most cell phones also have a near infinite number of uses thanks to mobile applications.
Including many apps that can actually offer even more useful ways to communicate with one another! We are going to take a look at some of the top apps for communicating for professional and personal reasons!
1. Skype

Skype is an incredible video chatting app that lets people from across the world communicate as if they are face to face. When Skype first came out it was a very exciting thing to be able to talk to someone as if they were right in front of you, even if they were on the other side of the world!
Of course now there are many options out there such as facebook video call or facetime. But if you do not have facebook or an iOS device, Skype might be exactly what you are looking for!
2. AutoSender Pro

AutoSender Pro is a communication tool that lets you schedule text messages or images that will auto send at the time you select. You can schedule messages as far in advance as you would like, and even if your phone is dead or off they will send! Use the text templates to quickly schedule common texts!
You can also schedule eCards to send for any special occasion! Choose from our professionally designed eCards or upload your own images to send! Save your money and the environment by sending someone an eCard they can save on their phone rather than just throwing out a card in a few weeks like most of us do.
3. Slack

For communicating with your work team one of the best apps I can suggest is Slack. Slack offers the ability to chat with as many of your co-workers as you would like. Slack allows you to create “Channels” where you can add members of your team, you can have one chat for anything marketing related, another for anything IT related, etc!
Slack also has a very clean UI and great support! You can see which members of your team are online, what time it is in their timezone and more!
4. Messenger

Messenger is facebook’s chat and is one of the most popular methods of communication currently. It provides great options such as the ability to create group chats, video/voice calling, different games to choose and play from, and allows you to send a message to any of your friends on facebook so there is no need to worry if you don’t have someone’s number!
5. Discord

If you play online games with groups of friends it’s very possible you already use Discord. If not, it may be time to start looking into it. Discord is set up similar to Slack where you have the ability to create channels. The main channels however are for voice chat rather than messaging however. This is perfect for people looking to talk while playing games!
It also lets you create different text channels where you can send messages to other people in the discord server or send personal DMs to people. It also shows what your friends are currently playing and who is all online!
