With the long winter months many of us find ourselves fleeing to warmer climates throughout the winter. There are plenty of different things that you have to worry about our plan before the trip, so it is best to get as much assistance as possible. Luckily, there are many different apps that can help you better plan and enjoy your trip!
AutoSender / AutoSender Pro
AutoSender/AutoSender Pro our are iOS scheduling apps that can be used to schedule messages for any future date or time. Our new features allow you to subscribe to a virtual number that can be used to both send and receive texts from a number that is unique to you! This can be a great way to text friends and family while on vacation without needing an international data plan, as you can send and receive messages using wifi!
Mint or other finance budgeting app
Travelling can get expensive, especially if you plan on doing shopping or any unplanned expeditions/activities. This is why it is important to ensure you are budgeting not only for your trip, but even while you are on it! Mint can integrate into your bank account to keep an accurate track of exactly how much you are spending, and what you are spending it on!
Mint allows you to create different budgets for different categories, so if you were using it for traveling you could have one budget for lodging, another for souvenirs, another for eating expenses, etc. This lets you have a better idea of exactly how much you are spending!
Depending where you travel you may not be familiar with the local language. Google translate is a great tool for figuring out directions, instructions or anything else that may be written in a language other than the one you speak. For many of the languages they offer you are able to download the language so that you don’t even need data or wifi to use it!
One great part about the app is that it allows you to point your camera at signs or other text, and it will automatically translate it for you! This could be a lifesaver if you need to read any emergency information!
If you are travelling out of your country, it is very likely that you will be going somewhere that has a different currency than you. This can make it complicated not only trying to buy things, but also trying to figure out the real amount you are spending on something. An item may not seem too expensive in the currency of wherever you are visiting, however this can be misleading.
With XE currency you can type in how much the item costs and figure out exactly how much you are spending!
